200 million Russian dollars for peace
In 2007 the Russians invested 200 million dollars in Abkhazia
According to The Head of State, Sergei Bagapsh, Abkhazia seeks to create the most favorable conditions for Russian companies. Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov also said during a conference on the broad opportunities and serious guarantees of Russian investment in the economy of Abkhazia that Russian companies are implementing the most ambitious investments in the Abkhaz economy.According to preliminary calculations, in the current year the total package of Russian investments will exceed the amount of 200 million dollars.

That is some serious Russian peacekeeping. Given the size of the Abkhaz population (120 000) it amounts to 1,6 million dollar per head. No wonder the Abkhazian wants to be a part of Russia.

Russia's foreign policy under Vladimir Putin has amounted to total, abject failure. Putin has provoked a new Cold War with the world's only superpower, alienated and polarized Western Europe with energy terrorism, poisoned its relations with former Soviet bloc friends and left Russia standing utterly alone in the world, without alliances or even constructive working relationships of any kind. Russia's only fellows are rogue regimes like those in Syria, Iran and Venezuela.
